A blend door actuator is linked to an air control door pivot found on the last drive of the unit; If you remove the hush panel from the bottom of the driver side dash, lay down and stick your head by the gas pedal, look up and there it is. Usually restarting the truck cures this and full functionality is returned (will cycle between hot/cold).

The driver�s side actuator is located on the driver�s side of the vehicle, just above the accelerator. It�s held in place with three t20 screws. I removed all three panels under the dash, unhooked the park brake cable, took out the cup holder by the stick shift, removed the glove box (this could have stayed), removed. I read up that this could possibly be caused by a faulty (or stuck) blend door actuator, but i�ve read conflicting posts on where this actuator could be located. And yes it is a bitch to replace. Some day under the drivers side, others under the passenger side.
